Media Reporter Panel Manager

Telecontrol Media Reporter Panel Manager software is the central workstation in our panel management. It is used to handle all tasks concerning the Media Audience Measurement Panel, e.g. organizing the recruitment process, storing and updating the household data (households, persons, equipment data), etc.

Telecontrol’s Media Reporter Panel Manager is divided up into several main sections with the following purpose:

• Management of households and persons (incl. socio-demographics and the equipment installed)
• Management of the TV/radio stations
• Management of the cable companies
• Management of the geographical areas and the relevant localities
• Structural weighting and management of the basic data for weighting
• Management of the daily topics
• Management of the definitions for the socio-demographic features

The Media Reporter Panel Manager software is a modular client-server system, designed to process the data transmitted by Telecontrol and Mediawatch meter units and runs on Intel PCs. The user front-end is programmed with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic with due regard for GUI standards in a Windows environment. The batch programmes for the processing of data are programmed in C. An SQL database running under Windows is used.
